I have a brunch problem, and Grapevine is the enabler. You can’t walk two blocks in this town without tripping over a mimosa flight or a stack of pancakes that looks like it belongs on a magazine cover, and honestly, I’m not mad about it.

I’ve done the research, from the polished, art-on-a-plate vibe at PIAF to the gloriously messy chicken-fried steak at Old West Cafe, and everything in between. The service at Bacon’s Bistro made me feel like family, and I’m still thinking about those biscuits.

So pull up a chair and get ready to plan your next Sunday. Here’s where to go.

Look, I’ll be the first to admit I have a problem with brunch. I can’t say no to it, and I especially can’t say no to it when it involves a place like PIAF Kitchen + Wine + Bar. I strolled up to 129 S Main St feeling a little ragged and a lot hungry, and the moment I settled in, the whole room did that thing where it just exhales. It’s a calm, unhurried sort of spot, which is exactly what I needed. The food came out looking like it was trying to be art, and honestly, it got away with it. Every plate was prettier than the last, and yet somehow still tasted like a proper breakfast, not a museum exhibit. I’m pretty sure I made some questionable choices about how much bread I consumed. Zero regrets. This is the kind of place that makes you want to linger and maybe invent an excuse to come back tomorrow. I’ve already got one planned. It’s called 'I’m hungry again.'
